So I went to the bar and explained what was going on and she did finally separate the checks. I asked who is in charge and he said the bartender. I asked for the manager and was told there is no manager there. I said, why on earth would I pay that much of a tip? He said that is how they have always done it at this restaurant. He said, „You never told me that.“ I replied, „You never asked.“ He then said, well you are going to have to pay the $70 gratuity since you were the last one to order. I said, this needs to be separated into three checks, each couple will be paying for their own. But, here‘s the best part…He handed me the bill, $500, for the entire table. The food finally arrived and it was average. Same went for all questions about the food. I asked about local beers and he said he would check with the bartender only to never give me a recommendation after all. Turns out they added raspberry syrup to her Margarita and charged an extra $1.50. My wife asked about flavored margaritas and he said any margarita could be flavored however you’d like. The ladies asked about different drinks and he just kept saying I don‘t know. He is either completely clueless about everything on the menu and the drink menu, or he simply does. We were promptly seated but it did take quite some time for our waiter to show up.
